CV

Since the commencement of my career as an independent lawyer, I aim at financial success for business clients. After a short time in a larger unit, I established a law firm in Ludwigsburg directed at commercial law consultancy. The practice became established within a few years and advises a steady client base of smaller and medium-sized businesses. Emphasis is inter alia on banking law, a subject in which my expertise is acknowledged through various publications, lecturing and my qualification as a specialist lawyer for bank and capital markets law.

The desire to influence structures and for greater integration in larger commercial complexes led me to Legal Interim Management. I have undertaken projects with budget, personnel and management responsibility, often at the interface between business and law, in businesses employing from 500 to 13,000 people. The range of industries extended from finance, market research, IT and media to laboratory and engineering. As well as implementing efficient structures and processes in soft law areas such as compliance, risk management, contract management and data protection, I have also established and successively handed over complete legal departments. With the exercise of careful control of external legal advisors, I have succeeded particularly in major projects in achieving considerable cost savings.
    
The conclusion derived from my own experience that qualified Interim Managers assigned precisely where necessary can not only provide cover for temporary emergencies but achieve long-term financial success for a business, was the formation of K11 Consulting GmbH. It also supports businesses in the outsourcing of legal departments, data protection and compliance to third parties or functions itself as external legal department. The changes to professional law, which are required to meet the demand for greater flexibility in rendering legal services to companies, are the subject of my doctoral thesis.
